Planning a visit to Co-mmunity Shop? Here is what to expect

Going to a new place is fun. Here's a blog post by Steve, Bentzy and Caroline about what you can expect when you come to Co-mmunity Shop.

First you'll notice our amazing sign. We have sandwich board sign that says "Coffee Gifts Snacks" that we put in front of the store when we are open. 

You'll also notice our mural with people having a donut, relaxing together, and two people riding a tandem bike. The tandem bike is an important symbol for us. It reminds us that we can move forward together. As a team at Co-mmunity shop we work together.

When you come into the shop, you'll see shelves and displays of all kinds of products, many of them made by people with disabilities. 

We also have snacks like chips, donuts, chocolate bars, pop and freezies. These snacks are $2-4. 

For summer 2026 we have Rico'n Lalo frozen fruit bars. These are a little harder to find, you might not see them when you first come in the store. They are in a freezer at the back of the shop. It is worth the trip to check them out!

We have self serve hot drinks like tea and freshly brewed Mogiana coffee. We have Cream Pony Donuts, but come early because sometimes they sell out. They are delicious.

One of our team members can help you at the till to make your purchase. We accept cash and cards. You can tap or insert your chip card.

Did we say that our drinks and donuts are self serve? This means you can pick your own donut and add the right amount of cream to your coffee.

We are not a big shop but we have a few nice spots to sit and enjoy the treat you bought. You can sit on our comfy teal couch. You can sit on the high chairs next to the window and watch the busy street. Or your could sit outside on a pair of green chairs.
